Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo today announced that Imagine Monroe approved assistance for six local economic development projects anticipated to create and retain 177 full-time jobs in Monroe County.

“This month alone, Imagine Monroe will help secure 177 more jobs for local residents,” said Dinolfo. “The continued growth of exciting local employers like eLogic, Fasteners Direct and Interstate Battery System of Rochester is a great sign that Monroe County is open for business now and will be for years to come. The company’s headquarters will relocate to the Riverwood Tech Campus and create the eLogic Manufacturers Experience Center, providing a place to display the solutions and outcomes for customers. The $1.065 million project will retain 56 full-time jobs and is projected to create 16 new full-time jobs. The applicant is seeking approval of sales tax exemptions on technology and furniture purchases only.

The company has outgrown their current space and proposes to lease and renovate 52,000 square feet for warehouse and offices. The $1.55 million project will retain 36 full-time jobs and is projected to create 4 new full-time jobs. Fasteners seeks sales tax exemptions on construction materials and equipment purchases only.

Macerich requests sales tax exemptions only.

4000 River Road, LLC (4000 River Road) purchased a student housing complex from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2017 and is proposing to renovate the 102 units. Renovations will include updated kitchens, baths and new furnishings. 4000 River also proposes the construction of a new, 80 unit building which will accommodate up to 260 students. The project will retain 1 existing full-time job and is projected to create 6 new fulltime jobs. The applicant is seeking a 30-year property tax abatement as well as mortgage and sales tax exemptions. The Town of Henrietta supports the project.

The company has been approved for a GreatRebate on the equipment purchase through the Monroe County Industrial Development Corporation and is seeking a sales tax exemption on the purchase.

The property is located in a low to moderate income census tract. The project will consist of 35 one-bedroom and 16 two-bedroom apartments as well as parking for 58 cars, 30 of which will be indoor parking spaces. The applicant indicates rents will target the middle market at $1.65 to $1.80 per square foot. The project is expected to create 1 new full-time job. The applicant is requesting mortgage recording tax and sales tax exemptions, as well as the JobsPlus property tax abatement.
